EXTRAPOLATION OF MAPUCHE ICONOGRAPHY

It begins to take shape at the beginning of the 90s, through simple images, signs of abstract forms, where nature, silence and the primary gesture dominate.

Inspired and encouraged by the stories of my paternal grandmother Fresia Guacolda Neculman, who told us, as an educator, the experiences of her father, Manuel Antonio Neculman, President of the Caupolicán Defender of Araucanía Society (1910) and first Mapuche teacher.

Currently in the year 2020, "Extrapolation of Mapuche Iconography" is a project in development.
